Welcome to the official website of the County Grand Lodge of Glasgow. The site was launched on the 21st of August at 6pm 2010. What does it do?  Well the major part of the website is user based submissions and news items from every Lodge and District that forms the County Grand Orange Lodge of Glasgow. The site is heavily reliant on user participation and we hope all members take advantage of the benefits of the site. We have a base to work from with quite a number of items already in place from District and Private Lodges. however there is ample room to accommodate everyone,s requirements. The District & Lodge information area provides every single District with their own personal area on the web.  We are proud of our County and wish to display every aspect of it on our website.

The website backend comes from the very powerful CMS system joomla a CMS is a content management system and allows great scale and scope with the front end of the website, the front end was coded by our webhosting provider Calton Hosting.  The make up of the website makes it very easy to use and navigate for even the novice internet user, allowing an infinite number of articles and pages really the potential for the site is massive.

We are now accepting membership requests from members of the County Grand Lodge of Glasgow which will allow direct news submissions and news to be sent straight to you the member, a blog area from the County Trustees will also be set up as we continue the fight to keep our parading traditions alive within the city.  You will be first to know the news right here on our website, we are all well aware of the struggles that have been faced during the 2011 parading season and we hope that with more communication you will see exactly what the County Trustees are doing for our members.
