MESSAGE FROM THE DISTRICT SECRETARY, BROTHER JIM WALKER

Sisters and Brothers, no doubt you have kept up to date with the struggle we are all having with the Glasgow City Council with regards to our Parading rights. The County Grand Lodge supported by Grand Lodge are doing their upmost but they need the help of the rank and file.  To those who are responding to the emails, we thank you and keep Bombarding the councilors by Letter, Email, Phone or better still front up at their surgeries.  At the recent County Public Awareness Committee Meeting, the “District Writers” were invited.  What is a “District Writer” ? each District was requested to supply 5 names of Sisters/Brothers who would respond to Media Articles and each Writer would have their own Database of email addresses. You will no doubt hear from them shortly but here are the names of District 11 writers: Audrey Cowan, Ellis Fraser, Tommy Herriot, Andy Nicholls, Brian Brown and Jim Walker. Should you hear or see any article that you think needs attention, DON’T DO NOTHING but contact one of the above writers and we will ensure that it gets the attention it requires.

All the very best for 2011.

 CENTENARY CELEBRATION

PRIMROSE LLOL 13

1910 - 2010

The Centenary Celebration’s of Primrose LLOL 13 continued on Friday 18th February 2011 with a meal in Olympia House.

25 Sisters, Brothers and Friends attended and were treated to a tremendous three course meal.

The event was organised for the Lodge by Brother Malcolm Campbell and our sincere thanks must be extended to Malcolm for his warm welcome and a wonderful night.

The meal which was supplied by the caterer Jean Porter

was outstanding.  Not only was the meal piping hot but

there was no chance of anyone going home hungry.

Well done Jean, you can be assured if we need a caterer in the future, you will be our first port of call.

The Worthy Mistress, Sister Ellis Fraser and the Members of Primrose would have no hesitation in recommending

Olympia House to anyone who intended arranging for a meal.

In closing the Worthy Mistress would like to thank all those who attended.

Please see attached Photograph which was taken on the night.
